Discount Rules
There are two types of discount rules: Price Rules and Quantity Rules.
The system uses these discount rules to automatically adjust the prices on
sales invoices.
Price Rule
You use a price rule to register special prices for certain customers
or customer groups. E.g. you can use a price rule to specify that
all your Apple Dealers get a 10% discount on all Apple branded laptops.
Go to: 'Product > Price Rule'
Example Price Rule
The price rules provide you a whole lot of flexibility in creating discounts.
Remember, your discount rules are automatically enforced whenever you save/post an invoice.
Quantity Rule
You use quantity rules to handle quantity discounts.
E.g. you can say that a Dealer gets a 10% discounted when she
orders 10 items of product X.
You can also use the quantity rules to created staggered price levels.
