Plugin: MyOnlineStore

BizFusion has a plugin for the popular Dutch web shop solution: 'MyOnlineStore' (MOS).
MyOnlineStore is the international brand name of Dutch company 'Mijnwebwinkel'.

Advantages of our MOS plugin:

- Synchronize inventory

Step 1: Register your store

You can link one or more MOS shops to your accounting.
We can only import your data when we have access to your store,
so the first step is to add your shop.

In MyOnlineStore, go to: 'Settings > API' and click on 'Add Token'.

In partner, select: 'BizFusion'.
You don't need to specify a token, this is automatically generated.
In duration, choose: 'Unlimited'.
Set the status to: 'Active'.

Click on 'Save'.

The list with tokens will be shown after that.
In this list, click on 'Show Token'.
Copy the text that is shown.

Next, in BizFusion, go to: 'Setup > MyOnlineStore' and click on 'New Record'.

Specify the name of your shop.
Specify the key that was generated by MyOnlineStore.

Click on 'Save'.

The system now has access to your web shop.

Step 2: Import products

Products are automatically imported when you import your orders, but the order import
becomes faster when your products have already been imported.
You can only register inventory when your products have already been imported,
that's why we advise merchants to always import their products first.

In BizFusion, go to: 'Setup > MyOnlineStore' and click on 'Import Products'.

You can import all your products or only the products that were created or updated
in a certain period.

The plugin also imports your product options.
If you sell a T-Shirt that's available in options: S, M, L and XL,
then these options are also automatically imported.

If you later add the option XXL, then this option is also
automatically imported during synchronization.

NOTE: it's not possible to add a completely new product option to a
product that already appears on a: purchase invoice, sales invoice or stock voucher.

So you can't add the extra option "Color" to a T-Shirt that already appears on a sales invoice.
In this case, you need to create a new product with options: "Size" and "Color".

Inventory management

You can synchronize your inventory from within BizFusion.
Assume that you sell T-Shirts and that you just bought a 100 T-Shirts.
Of these shirts, 50 are size M, 25 are size L, and the other 25 are size XL.
These quantities need to be added registered in your shop.

In BizFusion, go to: 'Setup > MyOnlineStore' and click on 'Synchronize Stock'.

After the synchronization, the quantity in your MyOnlineStore shop is set to 100.
It's important to realize that BizFusion always overwrites the inventory quantities in your shop.
So manual edits are always overwritten during synchronization.

Product synchronization

Assume that you added two new products to you web shop.
These products have not been added to BizFusion yet. And maybe you edited three
other products in your shop. These edits need to be synchronized.

Note; the synchronizer assumes that MyOnlineStore contains your product master data.
So you only need to create/update product information in MyOnlineStore.

In BizFusion, go to: 'Setup > MyOnlineStore' and click on 'Import Products'.

Specify the period in which you created/edited products and click on import.

Import orders

Go to: 'Setup > MyOnlineStore' and click on 'Import orders'.

Import your products before you start importing your orders.
The order import becomes faster when your products have already been imported.

Specify a shop and period for which you want to import orders.
Each order is translated into an invoice.
Go to: 'Income > Invoice' to see the invoices.

Furthermore, each customer is automatically added to your customer list.
Go to: 'Contacts > Customer' to see the added customers.

General tips

We've gained a lot of experience with MyOnlineStore throughout the years.
Here are a couple of traps that merchants should avoid.

Trap 1: Delete products
Never remove a product in MyOnlineStore if you've sold it in the past.
This is technically possible, but it's not recommended.
Your orders refer to these products.
If the product doesn't exist anymore, then your order can't be imported in BizFusion.
In this case, you need to re-add the deleted product to your shop.

Trap 2: Rename products
Never rename a product.
If the name of product contains a spelling error, then you should definitely rename the product.
But never rename product "Truck" to "Race car"
These are two completely different products!

If you have two trucks in stock in BizFusion, then this name change
will change the stock to two race cars instead.
This is not correct.

Trap 3: Price rules
You can define price rules in BizFusion, but these price rules are only enforced when
you create invoices within BizFusion.
These rules are never applied when you import orders from external systems.
